9:56am: RedTango Sponsers San Diego Breast Cancer Walk

Back in September I was contacted by walk team coordinator Alicia Cordero-Canedo who informed me that her group involved in the Making Strides For Breast Cancer walkathon event was going to name their team after RedTango! What an honor! I quickly went to work printing up shirts and fortunately had some ComicCon banners rolled up I mailed down for their booth. Plus lots of buttons and stickers!

The walk was a huge success and the teams altogether raised almost one million dollars. Here are some pics from the event!

As a business owner I get alot of invites to participate in "swag bag" giveaways and opportunities to put my products into giftbags of the "elite and influential". Well, forget it. I never do! I would much rather put my efforts into causes like this. RedTango has been a proud sponsor and participant in a number of charities to help homeless pets, to support private schools and cancer research.

I know..how will I ever live with myself not giving free gifts for some sitcom star's baby shower, hoping she might like one of my t shirts or something. Ask Mr. Nutzy, he might know.

8:18am:
While on the phone with my 84 year old friend Ethel I was listening to her drone on about the senior center she volunteers at. I suddenly got the idea to steer the conversation in a whole new direction. The results are hilarious! This was recorded with a hand held micro cassette recorder into the phone, so the quality is like listening to an old radio..Ethel is a hoot!!! I made it into a little wacky slide show format. She's really cynical about men, love and..well...have a listen!

Ahhh...I recall years ago when this journal was a hub of activity for AR fans. The hours of mockery..good times! Last night I decided to create a new "tribute"..many people on YouTube have been using this clip from "Downfall" for all kinds of various situations...mostly hilarious. Here's my take on it. Fangirl central!

Just a lil' reminder that I have moved 90% of my used-to-be-journal activities to Facebook! Find me as Red Tango and add me as a friend.

I will be relegating this journal strictly to RedTango oriented promotional announcements and maybe some artwork for the foreseeable future. I just can't keep up with updating in more than one place, and at the moment I've found Facebook to be a better format for my personal ramblings/mocking of various things and interactivity with readers. I've been sitting in the middle of the fumes and ash for a few days now watching from a distance La Canada and La Crescenta going up in flames. Came home today and found it has moved to about a mile from me right behind the local golf course. Woooonnnnndddeeerrrffuull. I'm going out to take some pics/vid.
